Lake Tahoe Vacation Rental
If your next vacation stop is going to be at beautiful Lake Tahoe, then it's no surprise! Tahoe provides more ways to enjoy yourself, outdoors and indoors, than any other place on the earth.
Lake Tahoe vacation rentals vary from one section to another. In Tahoe, a good place to stay can come in various forms, such as gorgeous custom homes with excellent lake views, comfy condominium complexes or charming and authentic cabins.
The costs differ depending on the kind of service provided by the lodging.
Normally, a night's stay in a home will be more costly than in a condo. A condo generally comes with basic provisions such as a living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and washer and dryer.
Other features include barbeque pits, hot tub, sauna, garage, and music system. Prices also vary depending on the proximity to ?most visited' areas like casinos, fine dining, beaches and recreation centers. Renting a good condo during the off season can range from $150 to $200 for one night. During winter or summer prime time, the rent increases up to $225 to $300, and the prices almost double during New Year's.
Home rentals also vary depending on the kind and quality of services offered. A one night stay can start from $300, without a definite upper limit.
This home would include about 4 bedrooms, two baths and the capacity to hold around 8 people. A more luxurious home costs around $1,000 a night.
Such a home would have all the amenities of a condo, except that it will provide around 10 bedrooms, a garage with parking space for 4 cars, 10 baths, a pool table, and so forth. It can hold about 20 people at one time..
Lake Tahoe
The discovery of Lake Tahoe in 1844 was an accidental one. John C. Fremont was searching for the Buenaventura River. From what was probably Red Lake Peak, Fremont moved his eyes towards the west, and noticed a singled-out pass. In the excitement of finding a way through the threatening heights, Fremont forgot to name the gorgeous lake he had just discovered.
After achieving his goal, he did rectify his error and called the lake ?Lake Bonpland' after a French explorer. The lake, however, was never referred to by this name; indeed, for some reason it was called ?Lake Bigler'. This continued until 1862 when an admirer of the basin, William Henry Knight, decided to call it ?Lake Tahoe'.
Development of Lake Tahoe actually began only in the 1950s. Roads going towards the basin began to be plowed every year, thereby making way for a permanent residence.
And in the Winter Olympics of 1960 at Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe was finally put on the map as a famous skiing center...

A Profile of Lake Havasu City
Named for its 45 mile long lake on the Colorado River, Lake Havasu City has grown into a popular site for those traveling West. Of course, the first step to visiting this desert city is getting there. While a road trip is always one option, many tourists instead opt to travel by plane, train, or bus. The Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport offers flights on America West Airlines (also known as Mesa Air) and Sun Western Airlines via Phoenix and Las Vegas, respectively.
Once in town, visitors will notice that there are only a few main streets in the city. Nevertheless, drivers may want to pick up a free map at the Visitor Information Center in the English Village off of Mesquite Avenue.
With their luggage picked up and a map in their hand, what is a Lake Havasu City tourist to do? The most popular tourist attractions include the Colorado River, the Mohave Desert, the Sonoran Desert, and - of course- the London Bridge.
